Fundraising

Like all churches St. Clement's has responsibility both to raise money for charitable causes and also to maintain and preserve our wonderful building. We are always very grateful for the generosity and kindness of so many people, both those who worship at St. Clement's and those who value our life. St. Clement's Church is maintained entirely by the generosity of private individuals (time, talent and money) and through tireless fundraising and grant applications.  It costs over £300 a day to keep St. Clement's open and active.

Coffee Mornings - and the best cake in town!

Like all events at St.Clement’s, our Saturday Coffee Mornings are inclusive and welcoming.

Coffee, tea and home made cakes are served with a smile from 10.15am until 12noon on Saturdays throughout the year.

All proceeds go to charity.

"Tireless fundraising by our wonderful fundraising team enables St. Clement's to continue to serve the people of Leigh"

May Fair

A well established and central part of the life of Leigh-on–Sea, St. Clement’s May Fair is held in Leigh Library Gardens on the second Bank Holiday Monday in May.  In 2018 the May Fair will be on Monday 28th May.

The gardens buzz with a range of attractive crafts, gifts and information stalls.  This year we had several new attractions, with a vintage car, stocks (yes, really!) and a parachuting teddies competition which had to be seen to be believed!!  The barbeque, tea tent and other refreshments were all very well received.  With plenty of amusements for adults and children alike it was a lovely day all round.

The weather held off and so the tower of St. Clement’s was open.  It’s a long way up but so worth the climb to see the incredible view.

All proceeds go to Church funds.
